Design leadership across complex products, systems and organisations

I’m a product design and UX leader with 15+ years of experience shaping digital products, services and platforms across media, enterprise and customer-facing ecosystems.

The through-line

Bringing clarity to complexity.

My work sits at the intersection of product design, design systems, UX optimisation, research, brand expression and organisational leadership. I help teams create experiences that are not only better for users, but also clearer to deliver, easier to scale and stronger for the business.

Across my career, I’ve worked with global brands including Deloitte, Warner Bros. Discovery, HBO Max, NBCUniversal, BT and Audi, leading work across streaming, enterprise platforms, product strategy, service design and digital transformation.

Whether I’m shaping a multi-market design system, improving a critical user journey or aligning stakeholders around a roadmap, I aim to turn ambitious goals into systems that work in the real world.

My specialties

Five connected modes of design leadership.

01

Product design for complex environments

I specialise in product design for environments where there are multiple stakeholders, moving parts and constraints to balance, including large-scale digital platforms, streaming products, enterprise systems and service ecosystems.

I’m particularly strong at connecting user needs, business goals and delivery realities, and turning that into clear product direction, design strategy and practical outcomes.

02

Design systems and scalable experience thinking

A core part of my work is helping organisations design more consistently and scale more effectively. I’ve led and supported work around design systems governance, reusable patterns, contribution models, documentation, accessibility and adoption.

For me, design systems are not just component libraries. They are operating tools that improve quality, speed, alignment and long-term product coherence.

03

UX optimisation and insight-led design

I care deeply about how design performs, not just how it looks. I bring a strong focus on UX optimisation, measurement, experimentation and evidence-based design, using research, analytics and user feedback to guide decisions and improve outcomes over time.

That means thinking beyond launch and embedding design into a more continuous cycle of learning and refinement.

04

Research, storytelling and strategic design thinking

I combine structured UX thinking with strong narrative skills. I’m comfortable moving from discovery and insight synthesis into executive storytelling, stakeholder alignment and strategic recommendation.

This is often where I add the most value: helping teams and leaders see the bigger picture, make sense of complexity and align around a clearer path forward.

AI-enabled design and evolving practice

I’m increasingly focused on how AI can strengthen design and product work in practical ways, from accelerating workflows to supporting better decision-making and new product possibilities.

I’m particularly interested in the intersection of AI, design systems, product strategy and human-centred experience design, and how teams can adopt these tools thoughtfully without losing quality, trust or clarity.

How I lead

Leadership that makes work clearer, stronger and easier to scale.

I’m at my best in environments where collaboration matters, complexity is real, and thoughtful leadership can unlock better results.

I build clarity across teams

A large part of leadership is reducing ambiguity. I help teams align around priorities, roles, standards and next steps so they can move faster and with more confidence.

I grow teams, not just outputs

I care about building stronger teams as much as stronger products through coaching, feedback, mentoring and environments where people can do their best work.

I connect strategy with execution

I can help shape vision, structure and direction, while also staying close enough to the work to improve quality and unblock delivery.

I bring systems thinking to leadership

I look at team structure, decision flows, dependencies, governance, tools, rituals and ways of working, then improve the conditions that produce better work.

I lead through collaboration and influence

Much of my career has been in matrixed environments where success depends on influence rather than authority alone.

I balance standards and support

I value high standards, but I also value trust, openness and development. Great design teams need both clarity and support.

Leadership in practice

The work behind the work.

My leadership experience includes shaping product design direction across large-scale platforms, evolving governance models, improving design ops and helping teams align around product vision, roadmaps and experience principles.

Shaping product design direction across large-scale platforms
Building and evolving design systems and governance models
Leading UX optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives
Supporting hiring, coaching and team development
Running workshops, critiques and collaborative working sessions
Improving design ops, prioritisation and delivery flow
Aligning stakeholders around product vision and roadmaps
Bringing measurement, usability and accessibility into product decisions
What I bring

Hands-on design depth, strategic thinking and leadership maturity.

I understand craft, but I also understand scale. I care about user needs, but also about business realities. I enjoy shaping vision, but also improving how teams work day to day.
